The most important aspect of any camp is the people - Administrators, Directors, Counselors or Specialists - that interact daily and are responsible for the campers’ well being. At ARROWHEAD we pride ourselves on the quality and quantity of our dedicated staff members.
All staff are hired based on two primary criteria - their love of children and their love of the outdoors.
OUR DIRECTORS are all educators in various school districts throughout the area. Their length of service at ARROWHEAD averages over 15 years. They are experts in their field whether it be programming, transportation, nutrition, maintenance or safety - all working together for the common goal of a safe and memorable summer for each camper.
OUR COUNSELORS are hired for their love of children, their experience, their patience, and their enthusiasm. Minimum criteria is 2 years of college (education majors), certified schoolteachers, and past camping experience. Our returning staff ratio of over 70% is a tribute to their dedication and commitment.
OUR SPECIALISTS are employed for their knowledge and experience in particular areas, whether it be swim, art, gymnastics, tennis, or archery and the like - All trained professional staff who are committed to sharing their knowledge with our campers using patience, nurturing, and enthusiasm.
OUR SUPPORT STAFF - BUS DRIVERS, JUNIOR COUNSELORS, COOKS, MAINTENANCE - are all part of the ARROWHEAD team - individuals committed to providing each camper with their best summer ever!
Our camper to staff ratio of 4 to 1 is further evidence of our sincere desire of proper supervision and commitment to safety!

Our camp season starts Monday, June 28, 2010 and runs through Friday, August 20, 2010* (closed Monday, July 5, 2010), 5 days per week for 8 weeks (39 days total). You would be required to commit to the entire 8 week season. The salaries are excellent based on experience, responsibility and background.
*Dates are "tentative" based on school districts snow closures
